Tartan Treasure Ticket
To the Community:

The East High School Athletic Department will be holding the "Tartan Treasure" on Saturday, May 3rd at 6:00 p.m. The "Tartan Treasure" will be held in the East High School Gym. There will be 200 tickets sold for the event. A ticket costs $100 and entitles two people to attend for the dinner and one entry for the drawing. A total of $11,000 will be given away during the cash drawing. Dinner, consisting of Scioto Ribber ribs and chicken and various side dishes, will begin at 6:00, with the cash drawing beginning at around 7:30. If you want to purchase a ticket or know someone who does, please notify Mr. Bowman or Mr. Adam Bailey. There will be several staff members selling tickets. I hope you are able to make it to the "Tartan Treasure." I know it will be a fun evening. Thank you.

Governing Board Schedule Change….

The Regular April Governing Board Meetings for the Sciotoville Community Schools, Sciotoville Elementary Academy and East Jr./Sr. High School, have been changed from Monday, April 14, 2014 to Tuesday, April 22, 2014.  The meetings will be held in Annex 4 at East High School beginning at 5:00 p.m.


Congratulations…

Congratulations to the Junior High Power of the Pen team.  The entire team did well at the Regional competition this past Saturday.  A special congratulations to Madison Rogers, who placed 7th out of over 60 students, and has qualified to move on to the State Power of the Pen competition, which will be held in May. 


 

Saturday School Dates

Saturday School is for students who have excessive absents from school. 
The following dates are provided for the students to come in and make up
school work:  4/12/14, 4/26/14, 5/3/14, and 5/10/14.  Time is 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. 

If you need to attend Saturday School, please go to the office and get the
paper for assignments and signup on the paper on the office counter.

There will be no transportation provided by the school nor school lunch.
 When the student arrives, please go to Mrs. Albright's room. 
 You will be able to enter the school by the middle school entrance.

RE: Governing Board Election

 A public election for two (2) seats on the Governing Board of the Sciotoville Community School d.b.a. East High School will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 in the Annex behind East High School from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Anyone wishing to be a candidate must be a registered voter in the Sixth Ward of the City of Portsmouth, Precinct A of Porter Township and certain residents of Vernon B located on Bussey, Chamberlin and Kittle Roads, on or before February 1, 2014 and must meet the “Board Member Qualifications” as established by the Governing Board of the Sciotoville Community School d.b.a East High School.  Candidate petitions may be picked up in the Treasurer’s Office at East High School beginning March 1, 2014.  Petitions must be returned to the Treasurer’s Office on or before May 1, 2014, containing the signatures of at least 25 but not more than 50 registered voters in the Sixth Ward of the City of Portsmouth, Precinct A of Porter Township and certain residents of Vernon B located on Bussey, Chamberlin and Kittle Roads.

All decisions of the Election Committee will be considered final.
