Hello My Name Is...

Nikki Johnson

My name is Nicki Johnson. I am in my second year teaching at East High School as the 9-10 grade Intervention Specialist. I went to South Webster High School where I was the salutatorian, junior class president, and involved with Key Club, National Honor Society, yearbook, cross country, and track. I received my Bachelor of Arts from the Ohio State University in Russian with a Slavic and Eastern European Studies minor. While in my last year at OSU, I studied abroad in Tomsk, Russia (Siberia) for the summer.
Following graduation in spring 2010, I worked as a nanny in the San Francisco Bay Area before entering the Peace Corps as a volunteer teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) in the Republic of Georgia for 27 months. After Peace Corps, I lived and worked in Seattle for six months before ultimately deciding to move home and enrolling in Shawnee State University's Intervention Specialist Masters program, which I completed in May 2016. I live with my husband, 9 year old stepson, cat, and soon-to-be-newborn son.
